Catrin has a BSc in Physiotherapy and has studied at Master’s level in manual therapy and acute management of soft tissue injuries. She continues to take a keen interest in research and current evidence based practice and has attended numerous post graduate courses to remain current in her practice. She is an AACP accredited acupuncture practitioner and an APPI Pilates Instructor.

A background working as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist within the NHS has provided opportunities to work in orthopaedic post-operative management, A&E, shoulder specialist post-operative clinic, and lower limb and spinal musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

In private practice Catrin has developed Sports Specific Physiotherapy skills in a wide variety of sporting environments. Her skills and expertise include running gait analysis and functional screening of athletes for injury prevention where she works on behalf of UK Athletics screening junior athletes.

Experience working at International cycling events, triathlons, professional rugby league and in international squash has provided Catrin with an understanding of effective preparation and recovery strategies for competitive sports events.

As a keen cyclist and runner herself she understands the importance of keeping athletes as active as possible during injury and rehabilitating patient’s comprehensively to avoid reoccurrence.

We have developed links with specialist consultants if you require further investigations or surgical procedures.
